A Grand Night for Singing is at the Music Pier all weekend, and on Saturday the Porsche Boardwalk Reunion takes over the boards.

From the city

First Night buttons are on sale now. It's Ocean City's alcohol-free New Year's Eve, with shows all over town on December 31, two drone shows over Carey Stadium and fireworks off the Fifth Street beach at midnight. You can get them at firstnightocnj.com or at the City Hall Welcome Center, 861 Asbury Avenue.

Where we'd go

A quiet fall morning at Corson's Inlet State Park, at the south end of the island. There are walking trails and open beach, and this time of year you'll mostly have it to yourself.
